Compass3d privacy policy

This privacy policy applies to compass3d, an Android app by David Leonard that "[D]isplays the magnetic field with a 3D needle".

No user data is collected

Compass3d does not collect or retain any user data. Compass3d does not transmit or share any user data.

Access limited to magnetometer, vibration

Compass3d only accesses the device's magnetometer. When it reads the device's magnetometer, it immediately uses the measurement to update the display. Neither the measurement nor any derivative of it is recorded or transmitted.

The Compass3d app will vibrate only when the app is actively displaying the needle and the display's vertical axis becomes aligned with the magnetic north vector.

App permissions can be found at compass3d's open source code.
